Job Title Administrative Assistant IV/Budget Manager
Job Description

1. Provides support to Dean and unit Directors within the School of Integrative and Engaged Learning.
2. Maintains steady contact with unit directors and administrative assistants concerning budgets, purchase requisitions, equipment and overhead purchases, scheduling, payroll, hiring, travel, EPAF administration, and other school matters.
3. Supervises school student workers when directed by Dean.

General Duties & Responsibilities

1. Maintain numerous School and Unit budgets, including monitoring numerous grants.
2. Maintain excellent knowledge of University Banner Budget/Accounting System.
3. Maintain all School purchasing card activity and collections of receipts.
4. Expedite various forms for new hires, travel, purchases and budget.
5. Perform general office clerical duties which include, but are not limited to, typing correspondence, scheduling appointments, and supervising student assistants.
6. Familiar with University Policies and Procedures.
7. Help to coordinate Dean’s schedule.
8. Provide screening of requests from staff, students, and other university personnel for meetings and problems for the Dean.
9. Order, receive, and inventory office supplies and equipment and secure maintenance agreements for equipment.
10. Responsible for coordination of activities within the School.

Required Qualifications

1. Associate’s degree (minimum) required or, in lieu of degree, at least three years of related administrative experience.
2. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Good organizational skills and ability to work independently.
4. Good typing, grammar, spelling, and general writing skills.
5. Excellent working knowledge of computer programs including Microsoft Suite, Google Mail, and Banner System.
6. Ability to multi-task.
7. Ability to work with and maintain a variety of office equipment.
8. Excellent supervisory skills.

In accordance with Utah State Code 53B-1-110, appointment to this position is contingent upon the successful passing of a background check.

Able to work in an office setting. Some lifting of materials and objects of 10 to 20 Lbs required.
