|Job Title||Fellow in Open Access & Education Initiatives/Assistant Professor of Library Media|
This position will be the driving force in the University’s open textbook initiative. Will work with individual faculty and departments looking for opportunities to adopt open access textbooks across the curriculum with priority on general education courses. Will track adoptions, effect on student learning, and fiscal savings for students.
This position is a four-year term, non-tenure track appointment.
|General Duties & Responsibilities||
1. Promotes, develops and manages the University initiative in adopting existing institutional resources and open education resources (EIR/OER) across the curriculum in any media.
1. MLS from ALA-accredited library school or foreign equivalent, or Ph. D. in a relevant field.
In accordance with Utah State Code 53B-1-110, appointment to this position is contingent upon the successful passing of a background check.
1. Experience with institutional repository software, policies, management.
Requires frequent conversation with faculty in English interpersonally and by telephone (requiring both hearing and clear speech).
